A. The Adoption Options staff of skilled adoption workers makes a point of getting to know adoptive parents well enough to understand their ability to love and nurture a child. We screen them carefully to make sure there are no doubts about their sincere desire and ability to care for the child’s needs before we consider placing a child.
We’ll listen to what you want for your child and do our best to match you with an adoptive family that fits your ideas as closely as possible.
A. It depends on the amount of openness you and the adoptive parents choose. Adoption Options might act as a go-between to protect everyone’s privacy. Each of you tells us how much contact you want and we match those who share the same feelings. We want everyone to feel comfortable with the arrangement.
A. You are a caring participant in planning for your child’s well being. The information you share with us is important. Helpful information might include sharing family medical history, and telling us about special talents, abilities, hopes and dreams.
A. Careful screening, as well as a matching of your preferences about the kind of adoptive family you want for your child, provide the best chance for your child’s well-being. Your active role in choosing the kind of family you want for your child will improve the chances that your child will be in the type of home you envision. Because we are a nonprofit agency, financial motives are not a factor in our placements. Our main goal is providing for the best interest of the child.
A. We believe there are loving parents available for every child and we will do our best to find them. We have access to many resources that can provide additional services, if needed.
A. We make sure you have access to skilled counseling or other services you may need. You will have made a difficult decision, choosing a future path for your child. It may take time for you to sort out your feelings and we are here to help.
