Informational Meetings – Free

Learn more about our Informational Meetings.

Adoption Information and Consultation Session – $100

A one-time adoption information and consultation service is offered to couples and individuals interested in learning more about their adoption options. This fee can be applied toward the adoption home study for those choosing to work with Adoption Options.

Home Study for a United States Adoption – $2,000*

This includes private or identified adoption anywhere in the United States. Fee is due at the time of first home study meeting. $50 fee is due with the home study application. This fee is part of total home study fee.

Home Study for an International Adoption – $2,000*

These services are designed to meet all guidelines and regulations required by the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) and by your adoption placement agency, attorney, or country. Fee is due at the time of first home study meeting. $50 fee is due with the home study application. This fee is part of total home study fee.

Home Study Update – $300 – $1,000*

For clients whose home study needs to be updated due to passage of time or a change in life circumstances. Home studies can be updated within a three-year period. $50 fee is due with the home study application. This fee is part of total home study fee.

• Annual Update of Adoption Options Home Study – $300
• Update for Subsequent Adoption – $1,000
• Update for Home Study from Another Agency – $1,000

Post-Placement Supervision – $300* per report

This includes a one-hour visit and required documentation.

Finalization Fees – $500

Includes preparation of documents and court appearance. All fees are payable prior to release of documents.

Adoption Options Placement – $16,000

For children adopted through Adoption Options, the entire fee is due at the time of placement. This fee includes all birth parent expenses, legal fees, post-placement reports.

Identified Adoption – $8,000

When the birth parent(s) and adoptive parent(s) have previously agreed to an adoption plan to be facilitated by Adoption Options. The fee includes all birth parent expenses.

• In Rhode Island: Families living on Block Island pay an additional $200 fee along with ferry expenses. This fee serves as compensation for travel time and mileage in order to complete the home visit portion of the home study. The same fee applies to post-placement home visits after placement of a child by an agency other than Adoption Options.

• In Massachusetts: Adoption Options provides adoption services to all cities in Massachusetts, excluding Boston, which are within a 40-travel-mile radius of our office in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Families that live in Boston, or in communities which lie between 41-60 miles of our office, may use our services for an additional fee of $300 plus mileage at the federal rate. This fee serves as compensation for travel time and mileage in order to complete the home visit portion of the home study. The same fee applies to post-placement home visits after placement of a child by an agency other than Adoption Options.
